Thoughts on Presentation...

This is an example of what my boxes with the backlit frame look like. They are two feet long they weigh 25 pounds. The back frame is detachable. I am thinking about painting the inside black and staining the outside to make it more aproachable?!? Also I was planning on placing each box on a petistool but I was thinking that if it was possible maybe have them hanging off the wall. I would like to set my work up in a room type of setting in a corner with a chair and maybe a rug. Any suggestions comments or questions just let me know!!

Last Blog for the Semester...

I defiantly feel like I accomplished more than I thought I would at the beginning of the semester. My work took a different direction from last semester and I am very happy with the outcome of my work. I was surprised by the difference and affect that the eye scans had once they became more of an organic object rather than identifiable one. I was also surprised about the color changes that evolved within my work over this semester.

Weakest

As far as the weakest I think this one was I have since then created some changes... I added a light source allowing the area around the chair to be brighter. I have also taken away some of the blueish purple color around the veins in front of the chair.

Strongest Work

I think that this is one of the stronger pieces because I was able to manipulate the veins to create more depth. I also really like the color choices in this one the best.

Changes

I've Made some changes to this one as far as the color and making it lighter still working on integrating the veins more into the base board as if they are creeping over in a way.....

Art & Life

I think that the link between art and life is hidden. We all have a process which might be a connection but what influences us in life is different, which makes that link harder to find. Art is a form of thinking and art comes from thinking about the world around us. What happens in our lives the things that we come across personally is only a piece of the link between art and life.
